The Levenhuk Heritage Base 15x50 is a Russian made binocular in a joint partnership with Levenhuk and the world famous Kazan Optical-Mechanical Plant who have been operating since 1940. The binoculars are of aluminium alloy construction and are build to last. Fully coated objective and eyepiece lenses and special amber coated BK10 prisms. Rubber eyecups. Specification: Field of view 81m, close focus 14m, eye relief 8.4mm, weight 964g. Complete with carry case, lanyard and rainguard. Lifetime guarantee.
The Levenhuk Heritage Base 15x50 delivers bright, clear and very sharp high powered views thanks to the five element eyepieces and high quality Russian BK10 glass. High contrast image quality. Unlike Russian binoculars from the 1970's these new models feature contemporary optical coatings to deliver a neutral colour rendition and low aberrations. The binoculars are relatively lightweight and can be used handheld. They can be mounted on a tripod via a central spindle type adaptor (not an 'L' shaped type). Suitable for all long distance terrestrial observations and astronomy or anywhere high light transmission and high quality imaging is required. Highly recommended.
